Happy Fur Year Anniversary, Arrow! • • Okay, so I look like a giant sap, but this cat has changed my life. Four years ago on November 9, 2015, I was sitting on my front steps filming a video for a collab channel that fell apart, when this tiny cat walked up to me, sat down in front of me and basically told me I was his. We tried for a week to find an owner, and when it ended we sent him to the humane society to get neutered and get his first shots with promise of first dibs to adopt him. We almost didn’t get to because the humane society wouldn’t call an interviewer off break to help us when we were in a rush and only had that day to claim him. The front desk watched me pace and start sobbing because my aunt had work and I had scouts that evening, and we were running out of time. He did come home with us, and now that tiny baby in the last picture is my brat child today. He has gotten me through so many low moments, and been there to glare at me in annoyance during my highest moments. We both grew and learned. He conditioned us to give him treats at 8pm each night, I found my identity and so many new friends, but he still rips through the house growling and chases his tail, and I still live off of Mac and Cheese. Thanks for being there, bubby. I wouldn’t be here without you, my squishy, my smoosh, my nerd, my butthead, and every other nickname you’ve earned along the way.
