I’ve been struggling lately with how real I am as a person. I realized that maybe Ive always been just morphing and changing to be whoever will be the most accepted by the group I am surrounded by and every 2 to 4 years that group changed and I would in turn reinvent myself. And now I’ve been around the same people for almost 6 years and I am .....exhausted. I don’t want to keep up the act anymore, but I do’t know what there is other than The Act. I want to escape and be alone and just do some emotional bloodletting. I need to go on a whole journey to the center of myself, and that feels like journeying off to Antartica to find some fabled thing. I’m not a real person, I’m just The Act of Me.

Never would have believed I’d be starting my next journal in the midst of a global pandemic when I haven’t been truly outside or to any of my favorite places in weeks, but here we are! This is my last month in this journal and also in this apartment! So this month’s cover is bright and all about getting ready for big changes. Spring is coming, and a this big new chapter is coming for me. It just happened to work out so that it all coincides with a new journal. Gotta love those little poetic coincidences
I’m experimenting with a new way of posting these monthly section covers: a fun format that is more like a scrapbook and just the photos themselves for a closer look
