for work I had to make a small illustration for Winnie the Pooh :D

all of this is making me think a lot about a. a. milne and his son, christopher robin. robin's stuffed animals served as direct inspiration for winnie the pooh and his friends and have become so iconic that they are now on display in the new york public library. milne was entirely anti-war after having fought in wwi but robin would later go on to put in great effort so he could serve in wwii.
to be honest i'm not quite sure where i'm going with this, but we know ally loves winnie the pooh. my current guess is that they're playing tiddly winks, a winnie figure, and them and the rest of the toys are keeping a child (or maybe adult) comfort during a war. or maybe it's just toys at war. who knows. all i know is i'm excited.
A little AU based on a dream I had recently in which the Fellowship teamed up with the Winnie the Pooh characters to escape a natural disaster, and when it was over they all moved into a house together with a massive stockpile of food :) Here's just a few of their interactions; I'll probably do more sketches of the AU if people are interested and if I feel inspired to (which I definitely have more ideas for it!) Anyway I just remember that they were all best buds in the dream and it was super cute so I wanted to do something with it <3
