DIY (Space Saving) Christmas TreeÂ
THE HOLIDAY SEASON IS AMONG US! For those of us who lack the space, Lily Ardorâs has us covered with this DIY space-saving Christmas tree! You can get the whole family involved, completely customisable, takes about an hour to make and even better, it can be re-used yearly.Â
Let's get creating.
Supply list:
2 dowels that are 1.5 x 91cm (5/8âł x 36âł)
1 dowel that is 2 x 91cm (3/4âł x 36âł)
Floral wire
Nails
hammer
Ruler (optional)
Wire Cutter and gardening sheers
Hot Glue
3m hook
Tree decorations of course đ
Floral wire
Pine Sprays or faux pineÂ
Step 1. Using your 2 x 91cm (3/4âł x 36âł) dowel for the vertical base of the tree and the 5/8âł pieces to create the layered tree effect. You can use a ruler to make sure theyâre evenly apart before securing them. Then simply use some small nails and add two nails offset to each other. Make sure your nails arenât longer than both your dowels. You donât want to nail it to your floor.Â
Step 2. If you plan on using faux pine it might differ just a tad from these instructions however, youâll be attaching your branches to the dowels the same way. Â To begin simply lay your branches onto your base, then one by one start attaching them to your dowel with wire. Try and secure each branch in two separate spots. Closer to the centre and on the edge.
Keep adding to the centre of your tree until it looks full. Try and keep the branches from dropping down. You want them to sit in an upwards position fanning out from the centre. You can then attached the tree to 3m hooks using some twine tied around the dowel.
Voila youâre done! HAPPY CREATING.
