A change of pace… Here’s a 1997 flyer for the Sneaker Pimps and Aphex Twin @ The Ogden in Denver. Chris Corner from the Pimps signed it for me and gave me the straw cowboy hat (which I think he’d worn on stage that night - but my memory is terrible). We chatted about #GoldmithsCollege because that’s where I was currently doing art school, and he’d studied there previously. Funny side-story: I took the hat back to London with me, where I was living for a few years. I put the hat on my bedroom wall as decoration and a sweet reminder. 💞 One night, my flatmate and I were lounging around watching a British gameshow on tv, and one of the trivia questions was about the Sneaker Pimps. And I kid you not - the hat, which had been there for months - FELL OFF THE WALL! Right after the trivia question came on tv!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Was this some kinda psychic energy or wot! 🙀🙀🙀 Unfortunately, the hat got lost in my move back to the states a couple of years later 💔 I am still a huge fan of their music, and of IAMX 🖤
