Noisy Miner and White-winged Chough’s from this afternoons walk
Birds nest I saw in the backyard. Possibly from a White-Winged Chough? Not sure if it’s large enough.

Choughs (subfamily Pyrrhocoracinae, genus Pyrrhocorax)
Which is the best bird?
Red-billed chough
Alpine chough
This genus is monotypic in its subfamily.
Cracking views of corvids over the past week and this year as a whole: Magpie at Pendennis Castle, Jay, Jackdaw and Carrion Crow at Bushy Park, Rooks at Kimberley Park in Falmouth and Raven at Bolderwood in the New Forest over the last week, Chough at Martin's Haven Deer Park in Pembrokeshire in June and Hooded Crow at Peediesea, Kirkwall in April. It has been a pleasure to see these eight striking and enigmatic species this year both locally and on trips to other parts of the country.
