Agatha Christie

Brief Bio:

Agatha Mary Clarissa Miller was born the youngest of three children in Devon.  An avid reader from an early age, she did not take well to traditional schooling.  As a young woman she traveled extensively with her family, and began writing in earnest at age 18.  She married an army officer in 1912, and served with the Red Cross in WWI.  After the war, her first detective novel was published.  She settled into married life and began writing one book after another.  When her husband abruptly asked for a divorce, she vanished for eleven days, prompting a nationwide manhunt that made international headlines.  Following her divorce, she began traveling once again through the Middle East, and eventually remarried.  Her literary career continued to soar, earning her numerous accolades and international fame.  She and her husband lived out the rest of their lives in Oxfordshire, where she died of natural causes.  She remains the most-published author in human history.

Christie was buried in Cholsey, Oxfordshire, in the cemetery of St. Mary’s Church, where she was a parishioner for 40 years.

Cholsey can be reached by train.  The station is about a mile from St. Mary’s.

Her old home is half a mile away in Winterbrook, and can be reached by public right of way.  Maps are available on St. Mary’s website, and at the front gate.

A School in the Cotswold  area of the UK is forcing Religion on children, a school that gets Taxpayer dollars.

This is wrong, schools in the UK should not get any taxpayer money to fund and further religion. Period.

Went to lovely Steph & Ben's wedding. It was lovely. Loveliness abounded. It was also in my old village that i havent really been back to for about a decade which was...lovely.
