I get something similar in my line of work and to add to that health & safety says I mustn't lift more than 18kg. I can happily manage 40+. Hell my dog weighs more than 30..... Ah sexism....

If it’s work rules I can understand, health and all. But if those rules are written based on sexist ideas then the hell with that shit. :/

Oh gosh, that’s the absolute worst. Women with internalized misogyny (and often it’s not even internalized, it’s just there) disappoint me so much. :/ It’s a mix of anger, sadness and utter disappointment. I don’t even get disappointed when it’s men (generally speaking), because I expect them to be misogynists from the go, but women is just heart breaking. Especially when it’s women you look up to.

My own mother has a lot of internalized misogyny, so sometimes it hurts to listen to her talk. Like okay, I understand society doesn’t help, and you’re raised to think like that, but nowadays nothing justifies that behaviour, only if you refuse to be open minded and educate yourself on the matter. Which she does because she became so comfortable in her ignorance.
