RIP Katsushi Murakami (1942-2026)
One of the most significant toy designers possibly EVER.
Aside from years of work designing the robot toys for many, MANY Super Sentai series (From Gorenger to Timeranger), as well as Kamen Rider, Space Sheriff Gavan, the Chogokin robot series, and Machine Robo (Which became the GoBots)
For fans of the Japanese Supaidā-Man series, he designed Leopardon!
He also designed the first Saint Seiya action figures with their transforming armour (and is thus responsible for more of my disposable income in the past 40 years than I like to think about)
