While it may bear many similarities to other more simplified and well designed email interfaces, the Yahoo mail design is much more cluttered and badly designed, opting to add ads and stuff in as much information as is possible in as little space as possible. This inbox is too cluttered and confusing to interact with, and makes email a chore to deal with.

The logo for the ACLU is simple and recognizable, but it feels somewhat generic. The colors are very muted and calm, and serve to minimize attention, rather than draw attention. However, its layout is memorable for people who do come across the logo, even if the color scheme keeps some attention off of the logo.

The recent redesign of the March of Dimes logo does away with many of the strengths of the original logo. While there are some nice touches, such as the d forming the torso of the person in the logo, the circle makes it almost seem like a capital B. on top of that, the font of the M and the rest of the text of the logo does not match, and the lack of the mother holding the child makes the logo seem generic. 

The Playstation logo is an emblematic logo that has stayed pretty consistent over its years in the spotlight. It does an excellent job establishing itself as a unique logo in the gaming industry, and incorporates the main two logos of the brand. The fake depth created by the S adds a dimensionality to the logo that makes the P seem more imposing than it would normally.

The Star Wars logo has become a staple of logo design, and has defined the look of many other sci-fi logo to follow. It established itself as very individual from other logos at the time, and created a new unique look. Its thick letters and stark contrast create a bold statement that draws the viewer in, and the repetition of the logo throughout the films creates a strong memory of the logo.

The interactive design Mac OS is very well designed and simple to use. The idea behind its design is to be as simple and usable as possible, regardless of the user’s experience. It does this very effectively by minimizing the amount of items on the screen at once, and only offering minimal customization, minimizing the amount of choice the user has, but creating an easier choice because of it.

The classic design for the march of dimes is an excellent minimalistic design, and conveys the idea of a mother holding a child very well. The match of the weight and roundness of the letters to the lines of the logo adds to the visual cohesion of the design.
