Marinette Salt Prompt Compilation - Valentine's Day Edition -
Prompt 1: TLDR: Marinette and the girls heavily hinted to Adrien that he should ask out a certain friend who clearly liked him. As more than a friend. Everyone could see it, so maybe he should think his feelings over and ask them out if he ends up liking them back. They weren't expecting him to revisit his feelings for Chloe and asking her out, instead of doing so for Marinette.
Valentine's Day!! Marinette giggled as she marked her calendar, her countdown to the day of love nearing it's end. Valentine's day fell on a Saturday this year, but she and the rest of her friends and classmates decided to do something on Friday. With every passing day, she was perfecting the gift basket she would give Adrien on their date when the 14th came. She and the girls have been dropping hints that he should ask her out. She couldn't wait!!

Today was the day!! Marinette giggled as she put on her second best outfit, saving her best one for her date with Adrien tomorrow. Once she finished getting ready, she quickly headed towards school. This, this she can't be late to.

Prompt 2: TLDR: Set in my Pierrot AU, Marinette is spending Valentine's Day alone. And it's very clear she is bitter the "boy" she used to like is getting to spend it with people he loves, rather than alone and bitter like her.
Stupid, Adrien. Stupid, damn, city. Stupid- Marinette thought her first Valentine's Day in Gotham would be better than this. That she'd have someone to celebrate with. But no. She had no one.
Meanwhile, the groupchat the Bats made has been filled with nothing but Gal-entine's Day plans from Selina. Apparently the Sirens and Adrien were planning a Gal-entine's Day party. Just the four of them.
Everyone else also had plans. Damian was spending it with Jon. Dick with Kori and Wally, his partners. Steph with Cass. Tim with Conner and Bernard. Jason was going to spend it with Roy and his (their) daughter, Lian. And when she said something (see: complained), she was in the wrong.
Didn't Adrien (Jason: Buttercup) have anyone else he could bother? Why was he (Tim: Their pronouns are they/them) allowed in when he wasn't a girl (Dick: they identify as nonbinary!)
No, she wasn't bitter when she saw the photos from Selina fly in. No, she wasn't jealous to see Adrien (the Batboys: Buttercup!!) enjoying his (Bruce: their) time with his moms and aunt.

Prompt 3: TLDR: Alix and Max end up talking to Adrien after realizing they were forcing him to do something he didn't want to do: ask Marinette out on a date. They also end up finally cutting Marinette off as a friend.
If you were to ask them, Alix and Max would tell you they did nothing wrong when they agreed Adrien should ask Marinette out as a way to earn their forgiveness for staying quiet about Lila's lies. It would just be one date. Nothing wrong with that. They thought he'd agree. He always seemed eager to make others happy. So they didn't understand why he couldn't just...do it. Marinette kept trying to get him to agree. To convince to just do it, so they could all get along again.
It wasn't until she openly told him he hadn't met the right person, that they realized there was a problem. Adrien had also been very vocal about his newfound hatred for her. They ended up sitting back and watching. Marinette kept defending herself. Kept insisting she did nothing wrong. Said that they were friends, so clearly she didn't have a problem with aces and aros and aroaces.

It took a while before Adrien agreed to talk with them. To hear them out. It took even longer for him to even consider forgiving them. But they could talk now.
They weren't friends. Not anymore. And they won't be for a long time, but they're ready to stand up to Marinette and their friends. Afterall, Valentine's Day is coming soon, so their efforts will likely double down. That just means they'll have to be sure and show Adrien that they're ready to defend him. Even if he wasn't aromantic, no still means no.
And they should have respected that a lot sooner.

Prompt 4: TLDR: Chat Noir was proud of himself. He'd just done an interview with a new blogger where he finally decided to come out as aromantic. It was Valentine's Day and he wanted others to know it was okay to spend it with friends or family. They didn't have to be in a romantic relationship to celebrate. So why was Ladybug mad at him? And why does she think he was lying??
When Chat Noir got approached by a trio of friends, he thought they might want a picture or an autograph. Maybe even to ask him if Ladybug was nearby. He wasn't expecting to be asked to their first interview for their blog, the CHAT-ter Box. Cute name. They planned on having a podcast alongside it, where they could talk about anything and everything. The podcast was still in the works, but the blog was ready!! And how could he say no?

Chat had a blast talking with them. They kept the interview fun and focused on him and him only. They laughed about things, Chat got some new places he could visit whenever he got hungry, and he figured... sure, it was risky. Especially it being Valentine's Day, but he wanted others to finally know, and to know it was okay to not celebrate Valentine's Day with romance intended.
He was nervous they'd stop the interview , but they had been so supportive!! They even shared their own plans for Pal-entine's Day. None of them were in a relationship, but they still wanted to celebrate their platonic love for each other. Hearing Chat Noir was thinking of doing so if his friends were free made their plans feel more validated, especially after having to hear to their friends, classmates, and even family plan out elaborate, romantic, dates.

Chat couldn't help but smile as people started commenting on the interview, some saying they were surprised to hear he was aromantic, some saying they were happy to have a hero like them, and some were clearly less positive, but he wasn't paying attention to them.
Just as he was scrolling through the comments, he heard Ladybug's yoyo. When he heard her land, he turned to greet her. But when he did, he could see her face, scowl and all.
And before he could even say anything, she snapped. Demanded to know why he did something so stupid. Demanded to know why he didn't ask her for permission. To set something up with Alya instead of some nobodies with a blog that was obviously a ripoff of the Ladyblog. To know if he was that desperate attention, he decided to lie about being aromantic.
He's not lying. He's always been like this. He just never knew what to call it. People support him. Say they feel seen because he came out.
He hoped his own partner would too. But apparently that's too much to ask for.
