Though there is no direct railway station in Kinnaur, the nearest major railway station is Shimla Railway Station which is 250 km away. Travellers often start their journey to Kinnaur from Shimla and enjoy the scenic roads. For those who are travelling by road, the Narkanda to Kinnaur distance is 196 km and is a that journey offers dense forests, winding roads and the majestic Sutlej River. How to Plan:

Rail: Take a toy train or a regular train to Shimla, the nearest station to Kinnaur. From Shimla taxis or buses are available to Kinnaur.

Narkanda Route: Narkanda is a beautiful hill station on the way to Kinnaur, a perfect stopover for travellers.

Best Time to Travel: Summer that is April to June or autumn September to November is the best time.
