I am Manal, a mother of three little children, living in besieged Gaza between the flames of bombardment and the smell of death. I no longer have anything to shield my precious ones from hunger and fear, except to cry out with all my heart to you. All I want is to save my children—to give them a piece of bread, a sense of safety, and a chance to escape this hell, far from the sounds of explosions. I have nothing left but to stretch out my hands to you in desperate plea, hoping that someone among you will hear the cry of a mother who dies a little more each day as she watches her children fade before her eyes.
