The movie says that the monkeys are the ones taking the animals that speak up, to the Wizard. But why? In the books, there is a hat that controls them, but in the movie? Can’t they just fly away. What’s stopping them from just leaving? Even if they were promised revenge on Elphaba, I hardly think they thought capturing animals was worth it? Did I miss some sort of implication????

Oz's first pride month was a huge mess. Because of course it was. Two children who have no clue what they're doing are behind it. The concept of a child just chucking a random flag you don't know the meaning of at you.
