Key to Mutran and Chirox is that theyβre both idiots. Chirox is unimaginative but gets to the point. Mutran is incredibly creative but cannot get to the point to save his own life. Like quite literally thatβs how he dies. I imagine Mutran was more popular prior to the Brotherhoodβs turn to darkness because Chirox ruined everything he touched (albeit in a more impressive way than Spiriah, whose work was generally mediocre) but when the Brotherhood became corrupt, Chiroxβs work became exactly what it needed as he got elevated to Mutranβs level, maybe even more because Mutran lacked a certain practicality when it came to taking over Godβs body.
