on one hand it sucks when i know every single chinese character in a sentence and still i can’t parse the meaning of it, cause i feel like i should, but on the other hand i feel So Cool being able to see this sentence and rewrite it myself into the dictionary/translator to look up the meaning, cause i know how to type all the characters.

豆奶 vs. 豆浆
i am currently making anki flashcards (i have over 60 overdue cards to make...) and one of the words was 豆浆 meaning soy milk. i knew that 豆 is a character in bean-like things just like soy, but i was so confused about 浆 because i know that it is not milk... but i checked that fact go check that (nct 127 reference) and it actually means thick liquid!! (because soy milk is not like cow's milk obviously) it makes so much sense!!!
