It's been a really long 2025, and I barely updated this blog. Sorry to whoever reads these, I have been busy. I wish things would slow down to allow myself some reprieve and post about my day, but truth be told, that's been kinda hard. ---- That being said? I did catch a breakd to watch the Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua fight with the wife, father and brother-in-law. As a former martial arts practitioner, it was hilarious to watch. While I was aware of the Paul brothers clown-shoes behavior, it was still very funny how Anthony Joshua treated the whole thing like a sparring match. ---- At no point during the match did he ever take Jake Paul seriously, and he didn't need to: Jake's punches barely even seem to faze him, and even the one "serious" punch AJ took to the face seemed more like the sort of thing that happens to you when you run into a door or a pole. ---- All in all, I think Jake Paul should thank his lucky stars that the direst thing he got from this whole shindig was a broken jaw (and probably a concussion but that's just how modern boxing usually works, let's be fr), because if AJ wasn't an absolute pro, he could've easily killed him. ---- Anyway, you're not here to read some middling post-fight commentary from a dude who hasn't been in a real fight in nearly 15 years (dealing with would-be muggers isn't a real fight, let's be clear). I miss my dad, but I hafta be there for my mom, wife, newborn son, brother-in-law and whoever else needs me, so yeah: I'll be around, even if I admit that I kinda don't really hang all that much around tumblr these days. ---- If you don't read from me again until 2026, be excellent to everyone you know, don't kill yourself (here's the 988 Lifeline network, just in case), and hopefully I'll read you in the next one.
