Steffon had been so quiet since the war had ended. Retreating to his familiar hiding spots of Runestone, trying to cope with it all. It was rare he did much more than read and rest. He tried the best he could to look after Viserra and Aerys, to be a family. It was so hard though when all he wanted to do was hide away from everything. He was there but not really. Not in the ways that mattered.
That was until Aerys had come to him with a bow. One of his old ones, asking questions. It reminded him of his mother sparking something in him that he thought was lost. They'd gone to the targets one day then another. It seemed to brighten Steffon in a way none had seen in so long. He's sitting talking about comissioning a new bow for the boy when he sees Viserra's look. He questions her on it and she says it.

He smiles a little before reaching out to take her hand. He gives her a gentle squeeze as his warm smile contineus. "It feels in a way like my mother is here. I... I did not know how much I needed that." He leans in to press a kiss to her forehead. "She would have loved you and our boy."
