Astrid sighed as she walked up to Hiccup who was standing on the balcony of the Dragon's Edge. The blonde stood beside him, watching the water glitter with the rising sun. "Hey. I had an idea!" It had been a year since the dragons had gone and they were just trying to hang onto any little bit of hope they could think of. They had come out here in search of dragons but the Night Terrors had disappeared too. "We haven't checked all the islands around here yet. Why don't we go do that?" She put a hand on the chief's shoulder. @chief-hooligan

“How did you-? What are you sewing, fishing nets?"

        “Okay, I get what you’re saying.” The petite raven         haired girl began. “But I’m not sure I really believe         that. I like--proof. That’s what I work with.”

Scowling at the boy she'd crashed into from her place on the floor, she hoped her glare still held the vexed dignity of a draconian and not the petulant bale of a school girl who'd just been knocked off her feet. "Why don't you watch where you're going?" Throwing him one last dirty look she began to collect her books, trying to sort out which were hers and shoving his to one side.

"And who’s fault is that?" Astrid replied coolly. Every time there was a dragon race Hiccup had somewhere more important to be apparently because he never showed up to the starting horn. "I don’t know if I should race you, I mean it wouldn’t be fair what with me being the undefeated champion and all." The blonde remained exactly where she was, casually leaning against a feeding station, arms crossed over her chest while Stormfly chittered her form of a laugh to goad Toothless.
