{I’m not really sure what constitutes an “alien” in the PH universe, but I’m more than sure Oswald believes in them. I dunno if his belief in things like aliens and magic and stuff is born from Lacie or what, but I think Oswald has a firm belief in everything like that. I mean, after all he is the contractor to five chains, and that much Abyssinal energy rots a human body, but still it happens. I dunno I’m like pretty sure I’m rambling and this makes no sense.
But, in my modern au, Oswald is definitely an alien nerd. Like he’s a closet nerd but oh boy can he nerd out. Never bring up aliens or anything like that around him because it will be 7 years and you’ll still be listening to him blabber on. It’s great.}

OK but like obi being torn between his instincts and love for animals. He knows what it's like to starve and instinctively goes to fight for his food but decided to give some to someone else instead? The amount of nerves screaming at him not to but he does it anyway. Head canon accepted

I really look at Obi’s characterization as the reformed-murderer Buddhist bodhisattvas sometimes. Because even in that headcanon when the bird is stealing from him, he has this moment of like, “You’re hungry, too” and just sorta… lets it go. Or at least part of it go. And he watches the bird fly off into the sun as he chews his only mouth full of food (if he even got that much)
