Kay Nielsen (1886-1957), 'Chernabog' (study for 'Night on Bald Mountain') all images from ''They Drew As They Pleased: The Hidden Art Of Disney's Musical Years The 1940's (Part One), 2016
One of the thing's about Kay Nielsen that is often unknown is that he ended his life in poverty and when a colleague tried to donate his work to museums, none of them were interested. Nielsen was long dead before that work received any real appreciation and recognition.
TWISTED DEVIL 😈
A/n: Prologue to a potential AU series, mini or otherwise.
May edit this into a masterlist if I write enough fics about this. So sorry about this short piece. Future oneshot parts may be just as short. Wanna write twst x reader fics based off the dorm songs being released lately.
I honestly am having Solo Leveing writers block/burnout. So I need to write other stuff. Sorry about those that are waiting for those Jinwoo fics but I need a break.
CW: GN!human demon hybrid Reader. Yandere esque vibes. One-shot esque AU series. MAJOR SPOILERS INVOLVED!

Diasomnia Boys
Deimos Mussorgsky 😈 (Twisted from Chernabog from Fantasia)
A quiet and solitary 4th year. Who's magical power rivals that of his distant cousin Malleus Draconia.
Phage Bagman 🎲 (Twisted from Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas)
Phage is an eccentric and jovial 2nd year. Who loves to play games (which he cheats) and making bets. He is a Descendant of Swing.
Credit to @mellosdrawings for this amazing commission!
The Night On Bald Mountain sequence was cut from the film when originally released on video. When the sequence was shown in 1940 the studio was overrun with calls and letters from parents who complained that the sequence scared their children. It has since been restored to its original place in the film on subsequent home video releases.

Ideas for Chernabog x reader? Like regular human-sized reader? It's seductive and frightening, him gently holding you and lightly petting you, considering how he canonically can pick up multiple human-sized demons (and dispose them like it's nothing).
In honour of tumblr un-fucking it's own latest deal with the devil, please accept this humble offering!
Chernabog x Reader
GIANT DEMON MAKES ME GO WHOOO-
Have you ever had a mountain attempt to rizz you up??
Chernabog can only go ‘full walpurgisnacht’ ON walpurgisnacht, aka Halloween. While he’s not visibly up there swinging his arms and summoning demons the rest of the year, he IS awake. Watching.
Hikers are a grating little itch on his sides, and he grinds his teeth through the daylight hours feeling boots scuff across the few paths established in the dirt of the mountainside. He still manages to shake hard enough for landslides and bad weather to ward of all but the most stupid or desperate of hikers, and subtly encourages the wildlife to hunt the lost little souls more boldly as night falls.
One evening mid autumn, as night begins to curl its claws across the sky, he becomes distractingly aware of a small set of staggering footsteps in his crevices.
He cracks the fold of his wings open just a tad, enough that the cloudy remains of daylight don’t give him a splitting migraine, and watches as you stumble pitifully over the mud and stones beneath him.
Malicious boredom coils delightedly up his spine. Poor little hiker, lost in the cold, just let him scruff your jacket by the clawtips and have a look at you…
