pros of fma 03
yknow im almost finished with it, but i honestly prefer a lot of aspects of fullmetal alchemist 2003 over brotherhood/the manga.
- i really enjoyed how lust was handled and didnt die instantly (she had a lot more character was really likeable but still kinda gray towards the end)
- barry the chopper stayed a villain til the end and we even got more backstory on him as a person
- maes hughes was developed a lot more and there for longer so people got even more attacted to him, making his death even worse (and that ed and al dont even find out until practically the end of the anime)
- sloth and wrath are REALLY good
- bradley being pride makes a lot more sense than him being wrath
- envy feels better despite his slight lack of screentime.
- shou tucker is a lot more fucked up but in a cool way
- scar has more character development outside “hurr gotta kill state alchemists, ok im good now!”
- ed!!!!!! ed is better in ways i cant explain well. i almost lost my mind when he killed greed. he has more emotions/is more expressive it feels, idk.
overall i kinda prefer 03 over brotherhood?? of course characters like ling, oliver armstrong, and mei chang werent there but charcters like hughes, lust, mustang and a handful of others being way more fleshed out and feel more like people than characters
