I would suggest two go-tos: the Mesha Stele and the Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible. The former is a lengthy inscription by a Moabite that contains many references to Chemosh (or Kamush); Chemosh is the ruling deity of Moab, and their military victories depend on his favor, much as Israel depends on YHWH’s favor. You can read it on my blog here. 

The latter has a dictionary entry that summarizes the various other appearances of Chemosh in the ancient Near East, including Elbaite, Ugaritic, and other sightings. I’ve uploaded the entry here, since it’s too lengthy for me to summarize easily.
