Enjoy a low-carb pizza crust made from cauliflower that is stuffed with rich Wisconsin cheeses. For cheese lovers, this recipe is a better choice than regular pizza crusts because it is healthier.
Ingredients: 1 medium cauliflower head. 1 cup shredded Wisconsin cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup grated Wisconsin parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup almond flour. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1 large egg. 1/4 cup tomato sauce. 1 cup shredded Wisconsin mozzarella cheese. Toppings of your choice e.g., sliced bell peppers, olives, mushrooms, pepperoni.
Instructions: Turn on your oven and heat it up to 425F 220C. Put the cauliflower florets in a food processor and pulse them a few times to make them look like fine crumbs. Cover the cauliflower crumbs with plastic wrap and put them in a bowl that can go in the microwave. Microwave for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the crumbs are soft. Wait for it to cool down. Use a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth to squeeze out as much water as you can from the cooked cauliflower. Put the cauliflower, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, almond flour, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Combine well. After beating the egg, add it to the cauliflower. Add the water and stir it in until it turns into dough. Making a round pizza crust, press the cauliflower dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Try to make it about 1/4 inch thick. The crust should be baked in a hot oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it's firm and golden brown. After taking the crust out of the oven, cover it with tomato sauce. Add the toppings of your choice and then sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the tomato sauce. Put the pizza back in the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly. Take it out of the oven when it's done, let it cool for a minute, then cut it up and serve. Have fun with your tasty Wisconsin Cheese and Cauliflower Pizza Crust!
