These Saucy Cheese Steak Hoagies are a quick and delicious dinner option that can be made in under 20 minutes. Thinly sliced beef, sautéed veggies, and a flavorful sauce come together in a toasted hoagie roll for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin or ribeye steak. 4 hoagie rolls. 1 cup sliced onions. 1 cup sliced bell peppers green and red. 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms. 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 2 tablespoons ketchup. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons olive oil.
Instructions: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms to the skillet. Saut for 5 minutes until they start to soften. Push the veggies to one side of the skillet and add the thinly sliced beef to the other side. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook the beef for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it's no longer pink. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce to create the sauce. Split the hoagie rolls and toast them in the skillet or oven until slightly crispy. Spread the sauce on the inside of each hoagie roll. Divide the cooked beef and sauted veggies among the hoagie rolls. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the beef and veggies. Place the hoagies under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve hot and enjoy your Saucy Cheese Steak Hoagies!

That is why local restaurants still matter.
A restaurant with decades of history carries something that simply cannot be manufactured: a sense of connection.
Every visit adds another memory to the collection.
Every family meal becomes a part of someone's personal story.
Every customer who walks through the door becomes part of the history of the place.
For Dairy Cottage, that history began in 1940, and it is still being written today.
Looking Ahead
Dairy Cottage has a history behind it, but the story is far from over.
The future of any restaurant depends on the people who keep coming back, spread the word to friends, share their experiences and weave the place into their everyday lives.
As Dairy Cottage moves forward, the mission stays the same: keep serving the Springfield community. Offer food that brings people to the same table.
The restaurant's long past is a reminder of its roots, while the customers who walk through the door today help determine where it goes from here.
