Birthdays family style are always the best. . Kristen made two cakes, one for her husband Mike...the smaller one is ALL hhiiis cake 🎂 and a big one for the rest of us. . The Mr. requested what has become his favorite cake and the Mrs. was happy to oblige. These two cakes are made from scratch with chocolate espresso ingredients and topped with an icing that is second to none. . Feast worthy indulgence is fun especially when your small tribe of four kids ranging from 9 years old and younger all chime in to the top of their voices and enter the feeding frenzy squealing through the whole experience. . But make no mistake about it, presentation is where it all begins. The pretty but imperfect display sets the expectation and appetite for the experience. Here is to another year of life. As I look back on my time here on Earth, I can only be thankful. Thankful for life in and of itself, thankful for living on this beautiful island I get to call home where we are COVID free but others cannot say the same, thankful for health and happiness where some don’t have either, Thankful for my beautiful family where one might not have anyone, thankful that I got to spend my birthday celebrating with someone that loves and adores me. I’m thankful for this new chapter I am about to begin as I turn 34.

SO MUCH DELICIOUSNESS going on in this can 🙌🏼 I LOVE a great double, and ‘Enjoy By 1•1•20’ is no exception. Hopped with an extremely impressive lineup: Nugget, Super Galena, Simcoe, Delta, Target, Amarillo, Cascade, Galaxy, Citra®, Nelson Sauvin, Motueka & Helga this beer was brewed “specifically NOT to last.” Honestly, you don’t have to tell me twice - this is a bitter & CRUSHABLE sipper I could enjoy over and over again. I’m sad it’s a limited edition tbh, it’s the same as the regular “enjoy by” serious, just left unfiltered & I’m kind of really digging it! The booze is hidden VERY well, also making it very dangerous & I too like to live dangerously (*insert Austin Powers devilish awkward stare here*). If you enjoy unfiltered haze, you will LOVE this. . . . HUGE thank you to @stonebrewing for sharing their brew with me! You definitely know how to make my day.
