This is a new technique that I have been experimenting with for the last few months. I call it the "oil rub technique." It's like when I paint with oil's, I rub the paint on the canvas and it's just a little bit of paint but it makes a dramatic effect. I'm doing the same thing with the photos. I take out most of the color and just use the color a little bit at a time. With this particular photo I wanted it to be mainly black and white with just a little bit of color. And then when I was photographing this girl, this pose happens within seconds and instinctively I knew, this was going to be a killer shot.
