Pakistan ki mitti ek maa ki tarah hai…
Har mausam apne bachon ke liye kuch naya paalti hai.
Basant aaye to sarson pe peela rang bhar deti hai,
Garmiyon mein gannay ka meetha ras bakhsh deti hai.
Kharif mein chawal ke kheton se sona ugalti hai,
Rabi mein gehu ki balon se roti ki khushbu phailati hai.
Bajra, makai, masoor, daal, kapaas — sab uske pyaar ke tohfe hain.
Aur samundar ke kinare se namak,
Jaise mitti ka chhupa hua aansoo,
Jo har zubaan ka maza badha deta hai.
Yeh faslein sirf khoraak nahi…
Yeh humare wajood ka hissa hain,
Hamari kahani ka har panna inhi se rang paata hai."*
