Featuring a battat headcanon of mine, which is that he prefers to wear the mike head just for the sake of hiding his expressions because he has zero facial control or awareness and is bad at eye contact and knowing where to look so he feels like it gives him more "control of the situation." So he's always claiming he's busy then showing up to dates like "sorry guys, forgot to take off the costume" or "well Tenna can't spot me out of costume, I might give it away" or any other excuse.
