I want to make a vtm character that’s a backyard wrestler that always play in villain (heel?) the scripted stories. Aka dude whose job it is to get the shit beat out of him, but he’s a vampire who mostly walks it off

Ok, I know that Blades in the Dark isn’t exactly a game for summoner type characters. It can have minion management and background operations of your criminal empire, but you have to get down in the muck and blood of Doskvol to play the game.
With that said, what if you had a pet Husk? Always at your heels, some ghost-eyed gangling thing with mechanical jaws and unnaturally strong arms. Is it possessed by someone you knew, or a vat-brewed specter designed to be a perfect hunter? I think this sounds most appropriate as an irreplaceable ally, perhaps even a custom piece of gear that acts as the method when you Skirmish or Wreck.
Imagine stalking through the darkness, with the Husk following behind you. Imagine the training exercises, getting it to go after different targets or learn a new trick for the next heist!
Ideas for why a character would make a binding pact with a patron who is opposed to them in terms of alignment, without losing their autonomy in the process (usually)
note: this isn't limited to warlocks
The patron wasn't even aware of the deal being made (likely a great old one)
The patron is the lesser of two or more evils and doesn't really co operate with other evils to further their will
they were tricked into doing it, the patron granted their wish but then twisted it, and the warlock pact was the result. Example: the wisher wanted to impress someone, the warlock pact made them cast Charm Person, and the person who was charmed wasn't happy that they were charmed and rebuked them for it
(fiend) the patron wanted to put intrusive thoughts and horrible whispers into their head at all times to hopefully tempt them into evil after learning they had potential
the patron learned that they were destined to kill the character an indeterminate amount of time into the future, but they love a good fight so they gave out the pact so that the character would put up a good fight when the time of their death came
The patron is so self centered that a little bit of flattery was enough to convince them that a pact was worth it (some demons)
The pact maker was forced to serve under them but escaped
The patron wanted to see through that person's eyes because they had valuable information
The pact maker was such a hot mess and overall an interesting/ entertaining person that the patron wanted to just see what chaos would unfold with them gaining powers
the patron only cares for personal prestige and wants to collect as many warlocks as they can for bragging rights, without any specific longterm plan
The pact maker did some sort of horrible thing by accident, which benefitted the patron, and the patron gave the pact maker powers as an ironic 'thank you'
The pact maker is destinied to come into contact with some people that the patron wants information on, so they made the pact in order to spy on people better, unbeknownst to the pact maker
The pact was given in exchange for a favour
The pact maker was some kind of artist that the patron was a fan of, and the pact was given in order to keep them alive longer so they could keep creating
new character idea: string cheese cowboy

characters getting revenge for themselves. characters fighting tooth and nail for themselves, because no one else will. characters whose self-love is bitter and hardened and sharp. characters whose self-love show up in the form of survival, self-preservation, a refusal to trust anyone ever again. characters who know that no one else would protect them or defend them or be selfless for them, so they are selfish. characters who are the embodiment of a scared feral animal, hissing and biting and doing anything it can to keep itself alive. characters who will get their happiness, even if they have to rip it out of the world that refuses to give it to them.
You know, I'm shocked ow doesn't have a smoke screen hero
Like a character that can make an area low visibility, like the spell darkness or fog cloud in DND
Or even a character with smoke bombs or something?
Like imagine throwing one at a widow and it is like a weaker version of her poison mine, doing some DMG over time but it's less deadly causing coughing because of the smoke. And it obscures the widow's view so now they have to move or risk waiting it out and dying to someone one they can't really see
I feel like that could be cool, especially if it outlined the enemies in the cloud for Allies and yourself so you can still attack them but they need to get away from that spot in order to fight back properly (which considering most characters have some form of movement ability wouldn't be too hard, unless it is on cooldown)
Especially with an assassin style character? Maybe even a melee character that uses daggers and unlike kiri and her kunai, they don't throw them!
But they also don't go invisible like sombra, or turn into smoke like Reaper or Moira
Idk it's an idea though lol
