SHADOW WIZARD MONEY GANG!!! WE LOVEEEE CASTING SPELLS🤪💯🧙♂️💪💪
My take on Scar’s pc Mr Wizard for the GIGGS dnd campaign!
I wanted to explore the inflatable man idea Scar had and made a design thats both whimsical yet has the potential to be powerful under the right conditions.

Hey! I was wondering if you had any tips for designing characters? You're AWESOME at it and some advice would be greatly appreciated, even knowing where to find good clothes references would help because the cesspool that is googl gives me nothing to work with but ai crap
Lil lightning round of design tips ft the new Spilled Ink OCs. Mostly stuff I’ve went over before but with a bit more focus on an example and how to consciously design multiple OCs at once.
Video HERE
Ryusei and Mari from Spilled Ink’s upcoming project for a manga contest so the designs must stay relatively simple. Even with very basic clothing, the uniqueness comes from how they are worn and what shapes do these outfits contribute to the character (and why).
As for good clothes resources I’m not sure either sorry ToT. I don’t fw Pinterest and usually just go to Google to quickly look up what objects look like and study the shape features for additional inspo - and I would have already an idea for clothes in mind. Bc of that my ‘research’ process tends to change based on the subject matter tho I too would like to know some sites
I have a tutorial on how I convert objects into clothes HERE

In dedication to both q!Slimecicle lore and q!misclickduo
I was able to participate TWICE in this zine submitting both a full illustration and character sheet to which I've provided progress notes for BOTH pieces so BUCKLE UP
[PROCESS + MERCH UNDERCUT]
First of all PICS OF THE HARDCOVER AND MERCH FROM THE ZINE ft my work in their all printed hardcover glory! Every artist and staff on the production team did an amazing job and it was such a nostalgia trip going through the zine.
Different thumbnails of possible compositions to do for the zine! Structure of the zine is organised into ERAs (different arcs of the overarching qsmp lore).
each idea has an expanded notes page of their own but i dont wanna show that in case i come back to these LOL
Commentary on the composition's meaning
There's 2-parter post my environmental analysis on q!Slime's exile base somewhere... It expands on that
And progress notes on the slimeriana character sheets
As a long time c!dapduo fan since 2021 it was an honour to participate and pau tributes to theeeee mcyt duo that formed me
You can find the full project HERE
And without further ado, lets begin:
[PROCESS UNDERCUT]
To be real the existence of this composition had existed long before I knew that the zine would be a thing, finally having the skills and motivation to pull off such a challenging idea.
I was inspired mainly by the robot girls from the I Can Friday by Day! animation short made by Kazuya Tsurumaki (director) and Hajime Ueda (writer). Other inspirations being the conveyor belt scenes from Pastel Palette 'Mou Ichidou Luminous' MV for the slime clones processing line as well as compositions from the Where's Waldo books.
For such an intensely detailed composition, the industrial components in the background were essential in both guiding the viewer as well as implying that sense of perspective within the environment.
Hierarchy is further enhanced through values and intentional colour coding.
