crackhead-esque rambling about a white guy episode 1: Kitās character arc
Kitās story gets a lot more wholesome when you remember heās a dad. At the start of his journey (wiytiff) he notes as soon as he sees the characters that his kids love them and he does end up agreeing to do it all again, but only because he needs the money to send his kids to an expensive kindergarten, which he does end up doing.
In his second game (wiytigobb), he is constantly called a terrible parent, but (and Iām definitely biased on this) I disagree. Yes he forgot about the kids, but I have a theory about this ā in Dark Pals (which I will get to later), he immediately wonders if he dropped acid and forgot, so I think he did some āarguably legalā substances after dropping them off that really messed with his memory, which would also explain him forgetting the kidsā names and stuff. I know itās kinda fucked up to say āheās innocent, he was on drugsā but I feel like his virtues outweigh his sins if that makes sense. He does occasionally say stuff like āeh, I can have more kidsā¦ā but I truly think heās not serious because there are multiple opportunities for him to give up or end it all but he doesnāt, heās hell-bent on saving his kids, which he evidently succeeds in doing.
in his third game (wiytid), itās not really explained how or why heās in the hotel without his kid because he mentions picking them up from kindergarten a couple times as if it just happened. I imagine his wife took the kid and kicked him out of the house because she was mad at him, which would make sense as he mentions her not being happy about him forgetting to pick the kids up.
in his fourth game (wiytippt), things REALLY get serious. When he realizes the horrors of the hour of joy and what they did to the orphans, his humor takes a nosedive and most of his jokes are noticeably bitter and hateful towards the company. Heās so clearly proud of himself when he kills or hurts those responsible for the experiments, particularly Harley Sawyer and Prototype. He even says to Harley āI own my sinsā because he knows heās done wrong but he accepts it instead of trying to justify it like Sawyer. Heās heartbroken and disgusted when he sees the piles of corpses and repeatedly apologizes when he has to climb over them. Heās not just seeing these horrors from an outsiderās perspective ā itās from a parentās perspective. His fury against the Prototype is also because of the experiments. You can hear it during the battle in chapter 5, his voice shifts to be deeper (which it only does when heās angry or remembering his trauma) when he says it feels good to hurt Prototype and when he says āIām not scared anymore⦠Iām just pissed off.ā (AUGH THAT LINE) and when he says āyou BASTARD.ā to Prototype when he says he killed the orphans he sounds like heās practically spitting in anger. He definitely emphasizes at multiple points that everyone who hurt the orphans not only needs to die, but needs to SUFFER. This is a parent whoās been made aware of these children who are hurt, dead, suffering, and/or in danger, so he wants nothing more than to save them and make sure those who hurt them will never do it (or anything) again.
In his most recent game (wiytidp), he treats Inky like sheās his kid, and given his experience in the factory, itās really easy to see why ā he sees her as a lost kid and wants to protect her. Even with Binky, he yells at one point āI WILL TURN THIS CAR AROUNDā and other stuff like that, likely instinctively. You can tell he feels bad when Binky dies and he gets mad when he sees the videotape of him getting abused, even referencing the other child-themed businesses heās had to go to. This guy is genuinely a good parent no matter how stupid he is <3
TL;DR: Baz Kit Case is a good parent comma actually
More annotated regect clips pause to read
I also wanna note this is the fourth episode and the first real sentient thing thatās seeping out of the down under besides Regect, weāve had lesser entities that lack the means to properly communicate and show their own sense of cognitive will the way Regect does. The captain here is a reoccurring character introduced here. Not like the guy with a gun in Regects base or the eye in episode three. Captain Dice is just as real as Moe or Regect with motives feelings and relationships that build overtime outside player involvement.
Captain Dice is the first real living thing in this world Ze kills. Regect and Ze fight all the time, but Regect doesnāt die.
Sure Captain Dice respawns later on and continues to be a thorn in Zeās side but Ze certainly wouldnāt have known that in this moment.
But thatās all a little loose and aimless so do what you will with it
Please tell me Iām not the only Sixer fan that believes that she doesnāt actually want to kill š I feel like her body is probably not under her control, and maybe on the beach Sixer lost control for the first time out of desperation. Also isnāt Sixer giving her heart up to the Spectre a metaphor for not wanting to feel anymore (ifykyk..)
SO SORRY it took so long to get to this, I kept getting too excited to structure a coherent sentence and Iām still struggling now so Iāll just word vomit about the topic
While I wouldnāt say Sixer is a homicidal person we DO know he is prone to aggressive behavior and outbursts. Noob notes Sixer was once a soft kind person but what drew their attention to Sixerās script usage (an allegory for drug use) was the way they began to lash out. So it is not naturally in Sixerās behavior to act out but rather a side effect of scripting, Iāll still bet on his internal dialogue sharing the same aggression and frustration their scripting brings to the forefront
"They became more competitive, more agitated whenever she lost."
"Whenever there was a leaderboard in our hangout sessions, she'd often stare at both me and their own names, their fists clenched tight.. I don't know what they were thinking at the time, but after a particularly heavy loss, she disappeared.."
In A Story Noob talks about trying to get Sixer to lay low as her scripting became painfully obvious in the way it affected environments and her body
"I wanted to keep her on a low profile, but often failed in doing so."
So Sixer was showing agitating and physically aggressive body language going off the bold text here, seeing Sixerās social reputation and the fact we know people do not like Sixer:
"A really unfortunate name." "I've heard rumors associated with it, but nothing real." ā "They wrote that even though they looked like other guests, people barely approached them because of it."
"Even if others were scared or uneasy about Sixer, we ignored it."
You could actually take the step to infer laying low can extend to Sixer showing aggressive behavior to other people outside of Noob, putting Noob in a position where they have to drag them out of conflict.
While I donāt think killing people was ever on Sixerās mind pre forsaken they were definitely pent up and frustrated with the way the world around them was treating him as a guest and as a guest with such an unfortunate number. Coming out in ego death and frustration that boils over into him hitting Noob, something that seems to shock even her
"But I was only pulled out of it when their fist struck me right in the face." "Everything went dark so quickly." "Sixer dropped me to the sand as I felt the pain on my face, slowly starting to get up as I felt a loud ringing in my ears.." "I coughed a bit, my face bruised as I looked up at them." ā "Sixer's expression mirrored mine; an expression of shock and regret meshed together."
This isnāt spawned out of nothing, Sixer turned to their addiction to make Noob proud, Sixer form a voice to talk to Noob properly, and while showing the magnum opus of his efforts to Noob (her voice) Noob cowards at the sound and rebukes all the sentimental excuses Sixer put to their vice.
Sixer hits Noob without thinking but not without reason, having the efforts of their love for noob (platonic or romantic whatever you likeee) demeaned while they rot just to show it enrages them.
Itās the most insulting thing Noob couldāve said in that moment and Sixer took it very personally. Iāll point to their milestone quote to show just how badly this single rejection sticks with them. Itās bad enough for Sixer to mentally rewrite the way she views their entire relationship. And it comes at a stark contrast to an affection Sixer still holds in her first milestone quote which I will embolden
"I never wanted to be this monster. I couldn't stand the thought of you seeing me like this." - Milestone 1
"Despite the pain, I began to find comfort in the pain. The pain caused by you." - Milestone 2
"You always hated me. I always hated you." - Milestone 3
In a realization we get. Oh so much. So much in so little.
"Open your heart." "Leave them behind, like they have to you.".
The Spectre wasted no time digging its heels into the rejection sensitivity and anger seeping out of this soon to be beast, a beast that is THIS HIGH on the lore based tier list because she is a creature of the Spectreās personal design.
In a realization Noob being something you can approach even if as a lose condition implies Sixer thought of Noob as an extension of her very heart. And the fact Noob follows you much like a slow weeping angel shows a lot of internal conflict as Sixer goes through the maze to find the rooted mass of what their heart is without Noob to give themselves up to these hopeless and dangerous feelings. To let all their feelings consume them in mass and all their contradictions.
The spectrogram for this game also shows an external conflict, Noob looking for the then missing Sixer. Giving chase.
"i couldn't help myself. i wanted to make you proud."
"and yet, you turned your back on me."
"left me to rot in misery. like i never meant anything."
More of how the rejection of his voice serves as a catalyst to her downward spiral
It is this spiral the Spectre feeds into as Sixer acts now, i believe Sixer is in at least primary control of their body to some extent. I think their feelings are what he has no grasp on. No regulation of. Often seen in chains like in the lover man comic the Spectre has full control to keep feeding the beasts melancholic rage, their violence can almost be seen like a toddlers tantrum in their kill animation of noob. Stomping and kicking them away, much less formal than the way they grip and gore other survivors with her tail and teeth.
Sixer is at war between sorrow yearning and a deep hate for themself and everyone else
A perfect storm for the Spectreās personal experiment piece, monster form carefully crafted by the Spectre itself
Forsakens drug hacking allegory more prominent in guest666 does extend to n7 actually
Coolkid too. But. Loosely.
Thatās why heās not a perfect dad heās coming off recreational use, not bad intentioned just trying his best. Heās not cut out for the role but his love is true.
Parental drug use is easily picked up by children, kids are sponges that learn from their environment and their peers.
The fact n7 didnāt trash his tools the first time coolkid found them also says a lot about n7 still clinging to them like a backup plan. If dad still has it surely itās not that bad because why would dad do something bad?
He loves coolkid but isnāt mature enough himself to know he can still love his son and tell him no when itās for the better.
Coolkid seeing the way people treat his father will also influence the path he goes does significantly.

Since Iām talking about it elsewhere anyways Iāll post about Chances race and its lore relevance
There is a difference between reading a story and reading into a story and everyone should be doing both. Chance, socialite with money born into money is socially shunned and lacks friends across the board which ultimately ties in their quick formed relationship with Itrapped who had ulterior motives and couldāve been seen as bad news from a mile away.
Why does this happen? Well with the knowledge Chance is a person of color the structure of this plot molds and shapes into something with a lot more depth, as all good things should.
Chance is born into money, therefore itās likely old money. Old money scenes are systematically white dominated and white old money is typically built off the back of historical sins, slavery, war, taking from the poor.
White old money individuals are more likely to be influenced by racist ideology into ignoring and sidelining Chance for their race alone. This forms solidarity with how Chance is treated for his race and how Itrapped would be treated as a banned user which is more reason for Chance to open up his heart to his only friend who shares a similar hardship of being (what they believe is) wrongly judged.
And before anyone goes āoh this is Roblox thatās real life stuffā Sixerās scripting is clearly an allegory for drug use we use real world blueprints in all our fiction because thatās what humans do. Even when breaking the laws of our own reality to build a new one the best stories are told from experience and historical backing.
Chance being a person of color isnāt just a matter of design or their locs in their self portrait itās a matter of contextualizing their story. His most questionable actions are able to be explained if you read into the behavior heāll face for his race. (gesturing vaguely to itrapped)
Itās not just about READING things itās about reading INTO things as well
Once you have a multidimensional character they do a lot of the writing for you just by existing with multiple fronts that feed into one another
Writers intent is that the character fulfills itself
Look. Look with your eyes. You have a question not openly stated? Seek the answer in all the subtext you can find, analyze and make an educated assumption. The pay off of potentially being right is a kind of ecstasy I wouldnāt bar my worst enemy from.
Part of my character breakdown notes QUICKLY fell into red thread style headcanons as I began to lose touch with logic chasing one lead thinking it could be WAY MORE LOAD BEARING THAN IT ACTUALLY WAS so Iāll share it:
Amarah is said on the fandom wiki to go by Any/All pronouns, there is no citation for that and his original message summary I can find refers to them exclusively by he/they so Iāll be working under that guise for the sake of remaining firm in saying things I can semi prove.
I am not against she/hering Amarah especially with how few feminine characters are In this game, I am just gonna stick as close to the minimum information provided so this doesnāt get more complicated than necessary with me hunting down any circumstances of someone on the dev team using she/her for them.
The cult has an odd relation to gender that starkly contrasts most known real world cults having aggressive traditionalist tactics if you glance at the subtext of our named cast, Azure and Amarah both using the same set of they/them and he/him combo pronouns for themselves (likely just a byproduct of them being replacements of one another) and Two Time being openly nonbinary can imply the cult of spawn is inherently gender nonconforming and against binary identity in the wider view of their world. Not holding themselves to social constructs. Holding grander purposes for their existence. Three Characters, a disciple, a higher church member, and the coven's herbal doctor. I would say thatās enough they/theming to make it a pattern of belief.
Azure is in a stereotypically feminine role to the commune as a medical botanist, or more commonly known in media he is a āmedicine womanā, Azure being confirmed male could be read as the cult shifting gender norms to flip them and correct patriarchally biases formed growing up in the outside society as we can infer Azure as an outsider.
AMAB members work domestic tasks, AFAB members work harder labor. You can make a similar argument for Two Time if you work under the pretense (or use this as added circumstantial evidence to argue) they could be AFAB as we hear of them chopping lumber.
Azure is said to meet Two Time for the first time outside while Two Time was tasked with fetching lumber, mistaking him (Azure) for a beast. Meaning they could not be familiar with each other in faith at this time. The specification in the citation of Two Time fetching lumber for the cult and not just in general (i feel) also implies Azure at this time had to be separated from the cult as a unit.
Amarah being said to have indoctrinated Two Time into the cult also means Two Time joined the cult as an outsider brought in.
The church has to break the stereotypical roles of cis members coming in from outward society as they enter the null gendered space that is the spawn belief system. Swapping roles. Two Time and Azure are outsiders. Going off their jobs cited, a caretaker (Azure, confirmed male) and a woodcutting clergyman (clergythey if you will) would mark Two Time as AFAB.
This could be why Two Time is so reluctant to aspects of self care and maintenance. Being said to neglect their needs. They see such acts as a domestic thing, something feminine in the outside world. Meaning itās a gap Azure has to fill for them since he is tasked with losing all his masculinity in their new life. Leaving Two Time to neglect themselves without aid once they are separated.
Edit: Iām also gonna note despite me only seeing official sources he/they Amarah, Amarah as a name sounds very feminine and Amarah has very long hair. Meaning he too could be breaking gender roles as part of their faith.
