#chara is nonbinary

the thing is...we do know their genders? for starters-Chara. Asriel, their adoptive brother, their literal best friend who loves and adores them, solely uses they/them for Chara. nothing else. Chara’s family would 100% know their gender and pronouns. just because you name them does not mean you know them. they are not you. they have their own story, and their own personality. that is the point of Undertale.

Frisk is also not you. this is specified at the end of the True Pacifist when they tell Asriel their name. later on, Flowey, pleading with you to not reset, refers to Frisk with they/them and nothing else.

Kris is, unsurprisingly, not you either!! the game shows that by throwing away the name you picked, and-spoilers-throwing your soul into the cage at the end of the game!! you can literally move said soul around while in the cage!!!

why can’t you guys accept the fact that they’re nonbinary? why does it matter so much to you that you get to assign a binary to them? this topic matters to me because i’m nonbinary, and it stings every single time i see someone misgender them!!

I assume most people enjoy at least one character who've done worse than Chara's story. They didn't even directly hurt anyone but themselves. They wanted to, but they didn't because Asriel stopped them. Geno is the player's fault, and anything they did is because we put it into their head that it's the reason they're back. If Flowey can be excused for being soulless then they deserve more credit.

And sure, there are spaces specifically about them. Tumblr isn't even so bad. But I don't wanna have to only talk about them or express thoughts in hidden away spaces because of what the apparent common idea is about them.

I'm just... tired of feeling alienated in so many spaces for being a fan of Chara rather than, say, Flowey

They're a traumatized child who grew up in a freaking village (look up how big those are, given how they hate all humans at that age, if they had such a small sample size they were most likely not good to them)

In No Mercy/Genocide, Sans is killed by a slash whether you have a knife equipped or not. Same with Asgore and Flowey.

Frisk didn't break the turn system to attack Sans twice. That was Chara. Chara attacked Sans, Chara attacked Asgore, and Chara attacked Flowey.

"We eradicated the enemy and became strong."

Stating they also helped us eradicate the enemy only makes sense if they helped us kill. And there are numerous pieces of evidence they did. The kill counter doesn't go up after Sans, the knife slashes when none is equipped, together they all point to this. If they're powerful enough to destroy the world, they're powerful enough to reach outside their host body and slash.

People say this is laziness or forgetfulness from Toby, but I doubt that. Altogether, this seems very intentional.
