The days went by, slowly but surely. You had lost two more friends, with one’s fate unknown. Grief took its toll on even the strongest of the group.
A quiet afternoon was soon cut short, as the ship jolted, and Beebee’s voice was broadcast all around.
“Bzzt! We are entering the atmosphere of Caligo-13! Pleazz brace for impact! We will meet at the main deck shortly, bzzt!”
The landing was a bit rocky, but you all gathered to the main deck as instructed, spacesuits ready. The shutter doors opened, and a chill ran across the room. The planet was covered in a blanket of snow.
Oberon stood in front of the opening, introducing you to this new world. Though this time, he was standing further away from you all than normal...
“Progressing through Caligo-13 without your suits is ill-advised, unless you choose to succumb to the cold embrace. The guardian of this land is...unique. Utopia should be arriving shortly.”
Yet as you looked on ahead, time passing, there was no guardian to greet you. Just an abyss of white, snow beating down. There’s suspicion in the air.
There was the sound of something rushing toward you all. Ice strikes the surface over and over, getting larger and larger. A beat of quiet, and Oberon suddenly took a leap backwards. Even he seemed to be intrigued by this, looking on towards the source, alert, but not alert enough. A sharp form of ice broke the ground and shot forward, rushing through your overseer and impaling him. The other side protrudes a draconic head.
Though he lurches backward as the ice retreats to the ground below and out of sight, it doesn’t seem to have been fatal. Frustrated, he groans. A second form of ice attempts to attack, but this time Oberon is on guard, extending a hand and propelling it away. It too sunk back underground, and not wishing to show you all more signs of weakness than he’s already been forced to, he vanished to wherever he may. The portal that tears the reality before you is forced open by oddly familiar black tendrils, pulsing with a light red...and then he was gone.
Uncertain of what lay before you, you had no choice but to progress forward.

Saying the trial was hard is an understatement as the emotional confession from Choharu had a completely different energy from past murderers. Not to mention the loss of Tetsu in the midst of Choharu’s ‘righteous’ murder. It was a bad time for all.
As always you were left to go back to your rooms and sleep the night away. Or not, seeing someone get murdered is pretty traumatising.
No matter how long or little you slept, the Queen was there to greet you in the morning with…
A GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“GOOOOOOOOOD MOWNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
BLAM BLAM BLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s okay though! It’s only a Nerf Gun™! She shot it around the corridor, and at the students, giving you all a bonk on the head with modified Nerf bullets carrying some coins! (+20 coins each!)
The Queen is as enthusiastic as ever about new additions to the resort attractions, spinning around and putting away her Nerf™ Gun. She claps her hands around her mouth, stage whispering, in a way.
“You gotta invite me to pway!!!!!! Don’t teww my brothew tho, he’s awways wowwied I’m gonna get huwt!!!!! But I wike pwaying!!!!!!!!!!”
With a big ol’ grin, and a bigger wave byebye, the Queen toddled away, and left you all to your daily lives.
Chapter 4 - I Need a Monster to Clubber Dat Dere Kirby - START
Wallace had left you with a bit of a bombshell to contemplate over the night. It wasn’t a matter of whether or not one of you was really, truly pulling the strings, but rather, a matter of who.
That was troubling, to say the very least. Wallace even encouraged trying to kill whoever it was, which wasn’t cool, considering how much he had scolded you for prior murders. The town just seemed to keep pushing people over the edge, sometimes literally.
The night turned to morning, and no matter how well you slept, Wallace stood outside the building, megaphone in hand, “Rise and shine, assholes.” Why did he always do this? And why didn’t it attract more monsters? Perhaps we’d never know. It was good it didn’t attract monsters, though.
Regardless, rise and shine you did, and met in the lobby as usual.
“Morning. Hope I didn’t scare y’all too much yesterday. Koontz is open, a lot more touristy shit up north. Shopping mall and shit too. Uh. Don’t do anything stupid? Not that I can really stop you guys. You just kinda. Do stupid shit.”
He had a look at his phone, and back at you all.
“Yeah that’s about all I gotta say. Shout for me and I’ll throw you some cool places to look or somethin’? There’s a lot to take in up here. For better or worse.”
When you arrived in the auditorium, you saw Chieko at the podium on stage, her sisters flanking her.
“Take your seats swiftly. This will be quick.”
O...kay then. Once you were seated, she sighed, before continuing.
“I’ll be frank. The fog that had spread earlier has mostly cleared out of the island, but I suspect it has retreated to the areas through the brown doors.”
“And I suspect it has done quite the number on those areas.”
“If... you go back through those areas, you’ll no doubt run into the fog again.”
“But... you might also find those red gems you need, right?”
“Correct. That is the unfortunate truth.”
“The fog thrives on negative emotions, and those red gems are practically crystallized negative emotions...”
“Correct. So it makes sense why it would try to take them.”
“So...”
She takes a deep breath.
“I want you to go through these doors, to the areas you once traveled through. Find the red gems and view their secrets. If you can, then view their contents. They tend to dissolve afterwards, which will lessen the grip of the fog.”
“Do not go through them alone. You will not last long on your own there.”
“Move quickly. And good luck.”
She turned and walked away from the podium, leaving you to take in her words. Old areas? Fog? Why are they there?
Things had certainly taken a turn for the bizarre...
Well then, this whole therapy session idea went south to literally no one’s surprise. Gemini just sort of sat there, answered a question or two, and listened. He wasn’t disturbed much, as he drank from his mighty tall mug and watched the chaos.
Although, there was another purpose behind all this besides just trying to get him out of cleaning up blood later. “Alright asshats, no need to get violent right now, because I got a little present for y’all.” Coming from Gemini, that sounded ominous. Just don’t let it be another motive.
“I actually opened up the newest area for ya. That way you can solve all your lover quarrels there.” What in the world does he mean? “Go on, go look.”
Reluctantly you all decided to go find the newly opened gate. Traveling down the path- Oh you got to be fucking kidding.
That’s what he meant?!
A dating simulator park?
Why Gemini....? Why are you like this? Why did you have to turn this into a horrible joke?

Everything sucks. Four people had died while in the previous castle. One body was still on the floor of the library, the rest had been lost to the castle. Luna’s words had struck a chord in many of you, while she was simply guilting you, it wasn’t hard to feel responsible for all the deaths that had occured, nobody was looking out for either of the girls before they died. Was it truly your faults? One had to wonder.
But, alas, one wouldn’t need to wonder for long, as the earthquakes telling of a new castle soon reared their ugly heads. However, something was different.
The library walls were shifting, moving, closing in on all of you. Dominique was quick to the punch, using magic to try and prevent the shelves from collapsing on all of the kids, ushering you to a safer area of the library, in the centre. As they struggled to keep an Entire Library up by themselves, the Witch and Persephone that were also inhabiting the library came to the rescue, pushing up shelves and picking up books wherever they could in order to help the poor librarian. All felt chaotic, and panic was striking all of you, were you about to be crushed in by the library? Was this the end?
As those thoughts flew through your mind, the rumbling suddenly stopped, Dominique letting out the heaviest sigh you’ve heard from them in a long time. “It seems… the new castle has arrived.”
They paused, as it trying to get a feel for the change in air pressure. “I haven’t felt a presence like this before… I’m going to scout alone.” They gesture towards the Witch and Persephone. “Chamomile and Aniseed here will look after you. Please wait.” Their expression is grim, this probably isn’t a good thing.
Murmurs spread amongst you, wondering what this new castle could behold. While Dominique was away, the two monster girls tried their best to keep things under control, knowing you kids, it wasn’t very successful. This went on for a while.
Finally, Dominique returned, multiple pieces of parchment with hastily scribbled maps upon them, their face moderately pale.
“...The castle hasn’t been in this state since the second world war.” Their voice makes it sound like they’re impressed by this. It also meant Dominique wasn’t as familiar with this castle as you may have hoped.
“There’s also… no areas to sleep. Instead, I’ve prepared a few tents, just outside the library. That would be safest, yes?” Oh, definitely. Especially considering the last murder.
“Oh, and one more thing to note.” Geez there’s a lot going on here. “Be wary of the portraits in the area. Anyone even moderately inclined will be able to align their magic with that of the portraits, opening a portal and accessing the worlds within. Multiple people can pass through an opened portal, but be sure not to lose anyone within those portals. I… am not sure what would become of them.”
“If you need, I will happily open portals for you, however, if magic is not your strong suit, bring a friend or two.” He motions to all of you, as well as Chamomile and Aniseed. “Strength in numbers.”
With that, Dominique held the door open, leaving you to explore. Your phones will be sent the maps soon, no doubt.
As you made your way back up into the lobby, tired, and quiet, Control quickly grabbed your attention.
“I know that you’re tired, but I humbly request you take the stairs. There is a floor a few stories up that I’ve unlocked for you.”
As you step into the stairwell, you look at the bottom of the stairwell, where Sayuri’s mangled body once lay. The area is now practically spotless. She’s gone...
“It’s only four or five stories up, so to speak. You’ll know when you get there.”
You climb the stairs obediently, crossing four stories before coming to a portion of the stairs that was barred off. The door on that landing was white and windowless, with a proximity badge reader next to it, a reader with a red light on it. But of more immediate interest were the thick bars cutting off the stairwell, with a metal door in it. It seemed that this door was locked electronically as well. Odd.
So you thought, but Control didn’t seem to agree.
“Here, allow me.”
You heard a buzzer, and the door blocking the stairwell clicked open.
“One more story up.”
One story up...? Okay. Climbing the stairs, you found yourself facing a different-looking door...
Out of place, considering the rest of the building.
“This is your reward for surviving the trial. Please, go inside.”
You open the door, and find...
Details
A library?
How odd... It looked dusty, as if it hadn’t seen much use in a long time. And yet there was a window, high in the ceiling. That’s right... This library had your first taste of natural light in months...
It’s been a few days since the events that transpired at the mall.
Nobody is feeling any better.
Sei’s grim truth was an unwelcome one, and although it may seem obvious now, the confirmation of it just brings...such despair.
But despair isn’t why you’re here. And Starch intends on making that obvious.
The speakers and monitors around the H2H crackle to life, as Starch begins a brief announcement.
“HEY KIDDOS! TIME FOR A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT! Please head on over to the lobby, you’ll like this one, I promise!”
You do as your said. Because why not? Everybody is dead.
Starch is in the lobby, as promised. Though, he actually looks...a little...worried?
“I don’t know what you kids saw that made you so glum recently, but I don’t like it. I’m not really here to make you feel despair or hopelessness, just to suffer a little bit. So this whole ‘emotion’ shit you’re doing is pretty....unnecessary. It’s getting in the way.”
Is that...concern? From the blue blob condoning and promoting mutual killing?
“SO! I’ve worked extra hard this time around, and gotten the next part of this whole hotel-train-whatever you want to fuckin call it 100% functional! You don’t have to say you’re welcome, I already know you are.”
Is that it?
“So! Uh....have fun with that! The map on your IDs should be updated to help you get around over there. I’m sure you’ll have LOTS of fun! And exercise! Exercise is something you people do, right?”
And after a brief, awkward pause, Starch floats through the ceiling, leaving you all to explore.
