I’ve been thinking about how most Star Wars characters are “space British” and how Emita City is the only place on Chandrila zoned for industry. In Shall We Dance (my VelKleya arranged marriage AU), I’ve decided that the Sarthas originally gained their wealth that way, and are still based there. I’m pondering whether (my) Chandrila should have (or retain some vestige of) an English-style North-South cultural divide. But with industry still viable in Emita, there wouldn’t be the same post-industrial decline that impacted the north of England. So probably this is forcing an unnecessary parallel (about something I have only superficial knowledge of)
