On Monday, July 7, Champs Sports will debut its latest campaign, ‘Get Set,’ the newest installment of the ‘Sport for Life’ brand platform—just in time for the back-to-school rush.

More than just a seasonal push, the ‘Get Set’ campaign focuses on anticipation, participation, and transformation—both on and off the field. Whether you’re a student heading back to class or a parent cheering from the sidelines, Champs Sports is here to provide head-to-toe essentials that help everyone show up ready.

To bring the campaign to life, Champs Sports has partnered with three standout NFL athletes:

Amon-Ra St. Brown (Detroit Lions) for adidas

Cooper DeJean (Philadelphia Eagles) for Nike

Chase Young (New Orleans Saints) for New Balance

Champs Sports, a prominent athletic sports-specialty retailer under Foot Locker, Inc., is set to launch its new brand platform, "Sport For Life," on Tuesday, July 16. This repositioning marks a significant evolution for the brand, celebrating the profound connection between sports and everyday existence.

At the heart of "Sport For Life" is a partnership with renowned athletes Micah Parsons (Dallas Cowboys), Francisco Lindor (New York Mets), and Jaylen Waddle (Miami Dolphins), chosen for their embodiment of the brand's ethos both on and off the field.

The platform draws inspiration from consumer insights, emphasizing how sports mirror life's challenges and victories, fostering resilience, determination, and community. It underscores how lessons learned from sports empower individuals to navigate life with confidence and passion.

Champs Sports is launching its newest CSG Active collection starring Duke Blue Devils star guard, Jared McCain.  

Champs Sports’ CSG Active apparel collection is designed for the active athlete, whether they’re hitting leg day or just casually hitting the streets. The collection is built with limitless comfort and effortless movement. Items in the collection include woven joggers, jackets, fleece tops and bottoms that offer quick dry materials, breathability and comfort stretch. Additionally, the collection includes curved-hem tees that offer a super soft athletic fit in breathable stretch fabric.   

Duke Blue Devils star guard and Champs Sports brand ambassador, Jared McCain, is featured in the campaign. Jared is a consensus five-star recruit and one of the top players in the 2023 class.

Champs Sports launches a new assortment of Nike Tech Fleece apparel for men and kids.  

The “Season of Tech” kicks off with Nike Tech Fleece sets that feature matching jackets and pants in 9 colorways – Olive, Burgundy, Navy, Black, Taupe, Cream, Gray, Black & Gray, White & Taupe. As we prepare to close out summer, we’re looking to refresh our fall wardrobes with new gear. The Nike Tech Fleece is a staple for everyone, especially active athletes who want to look stylish yet sporty on and off the field.  

Champs Sports is the go-to retailer for athletes of any age and the Nike Tech Fleece collection is a must-have this season. In celebration of this launch, New York Jets player Sauce Gardner is also featured in campaign imagery wearing the Tech Fleece set in taupe.

Champs Sports officially debuted its newest drop of the Diadora x All Elite Wrestling (AEW): Players Edition, now available exclusively at Champs Sports. 

Diadora’s special release takes on designs by renowned Bay Area artist Jesse Hernandez inspired by the wrestling tag team Santana and Ortiz, also known under their duo moniker, Proud & Powerful. The white leather upper is punctuated by striped colors inspired by the Puerto Rican flag: red, white, and blue. Other special touches feature the star from the Puerto Rican flag with the blue laces and a graffiti signature of “Ortiz” on the heel.  

The collection is a follow up drop to Diadora’s continued partnership with AEW and its multi-pronged collection. The newest drop is available in men’s sizes exclusively sold in-store and online at Champs Sports for $120.

Champs Sports is launching the Diadora x AEW: Player Edition, Lucha Bros footwear collection, which will be available exclusively at Champs Sports , available now.

 The collection features two pairs of sneakers, each inspired by the two members of the Lucha Bros - Penta El Zero M and Rey Fénix. The tag team’s usage of yin and yang has been showcased throughout their career, especially on their masks, and serves as inspiration behind this collection. The white colorway represents Rey Fénix, while the black colorway represents Penta El Zero M. Both sneakers feature special touches like the “Lucha Bros” name on the tongue and graphics on the sides. The exclusive collection was designed by famed visual artist Jesse Hernandez of Urban Aztec.

In honor of World Mental Health Day today, Champs Sports is proud to announce its partnership with non-profit organization, Athletes for Hope (AFH). As part of the partnership, Champs Sports has donated $30,000 to AFH to help shatter the stigma of mental health and empower all athletes. Champs Sports’ donation to AFH will go towards education, training and resource creation related to athletes’ mental health, as well as fund AFH’s “Pledge to Reach Out” program which states: It starts with showing up, and a willingness to listen. It doesn’t need to be perfect, or filled with advice. It starts with reaching out. Take the pledge to help shatter the stigma of mental health at athletesforhope.org/reachout.  

In support of the pledge, Champs Sports, in partnership with Athletes for Hope, launched a World Mental Health Day campaign on 10/10. The campaign features Washington Commanders Offensive Lineman Chris Paul and Olympian and World Cup Alpine Ski Racer Alice Merryweather, both of whom have experienced the stigma that surrounds mental health within their careers. In the campaign, Alice and Chris are shown in photos that represent what these athletes do to help keep a healthy mind – spend time in nature, ride horses, collaborate with friends, attend educational conferences, and more. They’ve both signed the “Pledge to Reach Out” and encourage everyone to join them.

To further support the campaign, Champs Sports hosted two Mental Health Day events at Champs Sports Homefield store in Pembroke Pines, FL on Sunday, October 9th for local high school and college athletes, with Under Armour providing attire for each attendee. The events consisted of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation sessions led by Athletes for Hope ambassadors Kendall Ellis and Rachel McNair.  

This campaign follows Champs Sports’ recent partnership with VOICEINSPORT,to whom they donated $30,000 in support of their Title IX initiatives and launched a “Women Win” campaign as part of the retailer’s continued efforts to promote gender equity within the sports industry.

Emphasizing Champs Sports’ motto of Game, Train, Live, “Win Better” speaks to these different elements of an athlete’s life – whether that’s excelling on the court or field, preparing to succeed in their chase for greatness, and doing it all in style.

Starring basketball superstars, Haley and Hanna Cavinder, and professional lacrosse player Myles Jones, the campaign showcases how Champs Sports is equipping athletes to win every day and in all their endeavors. Appearing in several short video clips, Haley, Hanna, and Myles demonstrate how they prepare to win better each day, whether that’s relaxing during some down time or gearing up for a big game.
