chainshipping week day 3: grief

"Um, what the fuck is this? Didn't you finish this fic over a year ago?" Well yeah, technically. It is now October 6th 2025, just over a year after I posted the last chapter of this fic. However, I revisited this fic earlier this year, and in the months since I have made some little tweaks and fixes to things like typos and places where my tenses were all mixed up, and I can now finally say over a year later, this fic is officially done.
Is there some stuff that I would maybe do a little differently if I were to write this story now? Sure, but this wasn't a rewrite, just a refurbish, and I am still proud of what I accomplished here as a brand new writer with no idea what the fuck I was doing, (not that I really know now).
This story came not only from a place of love for this franchise and these characters for nearly two decades, but also from a deep place of my own grief and loss, and I don't know that I will ever be able to put into words what writing this story has meant and what it has done for me, and how much it has meant for me that anyone has taken their own time to read, love, and share it with their own heart.
I have a lot more writing to do, so until then, much love, and enjoy (so um kinda pseudo @chainshippingweek2025? for any of the four prompts this fic could fit, none of which being the one for today, lol)
