I had to stop and do some research, because Urahara's explanation of the whole matter conversion gate thing made me realize I might be confused about what a konpaku is. In chapter 60 especially, I think I was under the impression that konpaku were freshly deceased souls still in the World of the Living, who still have their soul chains--therefore, distinct entities from Shinigami. (Which. I mean. Technically I guess they are still distinct, just not in the way I thought.) After checking the wiki, my amended understanding is that konpaku is a blanket category for any spiritual entity that doesn't have a physical, tangible form the Living can see, which would also include Shinigami, Hollows, and Rukongai residents. They can also be born in Soul Society, which I already knew. I just...don't know how I feel about that part. Anyways, I assume someone will correct me if I'm still wrong about this.
This part is making more sense now, though!
Wait, not that part. We already knew Chad loves cute things. And that in itself is adorable! I mean, look at that lil' blush! Just ignore Kon's terrified screams, this ain't about him.
Okay, so my simple bird brain hears: can only go to Soul Society as konpaku, only Ichigo become konpaku without chain of fate, rest of you stuck here even if kick you out of bodies. So far so good!
The papier-mΓ’chΓ© gate will fix this problem by turning your physical body INTO a fully mobile konpaku. It's incredible what you can do with some old newspaper, water, and glue, isn't it?! No wonder he had to be stopped!
DENIED.
I wonder if the time limit applies to sanctioned Senkai-Mon as well? If Urahara's pretty much hacking his way in where he shouldn't be, then it makes sense that he'd encounter more resistance in opening it even for a few minutes.
Yoruichi is eating with this speech.
Speaking from experience, perhaps?
That's what we like to hear, Ichigo! Now go get 'em!
