Despite this being nothing new and purely just for design, I came up with a headcanon...

Morro has his name on his back for the anxious souls who are too scared to talk to him, let alone ask him for his name.

Dying is not something that people would just get over immediately upon entering the Spectral Lands. Heck, some might even be too shocked to form words.

So Morro, being the good, self-employed CGSS employee that he is, decided to come up with a simple solution to help those souls in identifying him.

It's just essentially a cooler name tag.

Oftentimes, souls would follow him so they would see the name on there, and whilst most don't usually refer to him as 'Morro' (I mean, just think about real life. Nobody really talks to employees and calls them by their name, despite having a name tag), but instead just as a guide, or some other title.

Pros:

○ you get to meet new people and/or species,

○ you can have some very heart-felt conversations that benefit you,

○ you gain all sorts of experiences depending on what souls you meet, what challenges you face, etc,

○ you feel proud about the fact that you protected someone,

○ you develop fighting skills,

○ you can quit at any given moment without informing your manager

○ you don't have a manager or boss - nothing!

○ you work for yourself,

Cons:

○ you have to fight Soulsuckers,

○ you are constantly at the risk of an attack from the Soulsuckers,

○ you have to act as a guide, protector, and therapist for souls, so a 3 in 1 job actually,

○ you have to help everyone, no matter how insufferable and annoying the soul is,

○ you are responsible for every soul you guide, so any potential losses only affect you, and only you can deal with them,

○ you are responsible for dealing with any complaints the ghost/soul may have,

○ you only have yourself to rely on,

○ you are also responsible for any living being that enters the Spectral Lands,

○ you have to eventually say goodbye to the souls, seeing that they can't stay,

○ you can't form long-term or really any forms of relationships, so you're left all alone,

○ you don't really have anyone working for you unless you decide (and hopefully) recruit some helpers (not likely tho),

○ you have to maintain the Spectral Lands,

○ quitting means that you either found someone else to take the job or you left behind lost souls who can be endangered and which you could feel guilty about leaving behind,

○ you don't get paid for this job,
