We in the latino community need to have serious conversation about machismo and the protection of our women and children. I've been trying to find a way of saying this that doesn't come off as smug, because that's not my feeling at all. But I've long wished more people would grapple with Cesar Chavez and UFW's - at best - complex legacy wrt undocumented immigrants.
