Drawlloween 2019: Prompt 19 βKooky Creature Cerealβ β’ So I waffled on this one for a while. But decided to draw Sonny, the mascot of Cocoa Puffs, going Kooky (as in the prompt instead of cuckoo... It always bothered me how I remember how he used to have a pink & white shirt... and now heβs naked! β’ Wendell the baker is the mascot from Cinnamon Toast Crunch before those little weird squares that eat each other. Again, originally I remember 3 bakers singing the Cinnamon Toast Crunch song... then it was just 1 baker... what happened to the other 2? Is that the secret ingredient? (Cereal killer? Hmmm) β’ also the box Sonny is bursting out is after the best-selling book by Chuck Klosterman called βSex, Drugs, & Cocoa Puffsβ - which is a collection of essays talking abou lit and deconstructing popular culture including John Cusack Films, Saved by the Bell, cereal, Dixie Chicks, When Harry Met Sally, Empire Strikes Back and more.... β’ ALSO in the back are numerous bizarre actual mascots for cereals I grew up with (mostly in the 70s) - do you recognize a lot of them?
