Illustration I’ve made of Ferenceratops shqiperorum, the first dinosaur species ever named for the new year of 2026.
Last year, I started a series of dinosaur line art. This is the first "four". :)
Compsognathus longipes is a small theropod known from two skeletons from the Upper Jurassic limestones of Germany and France. The reconstruction is based on a smaller, German specimen. For a long time it was considered the smallest dinosaur, but now smaller taxa are known.
Sinoceratops zhuchengensis is a centrosaurine and currently the only genus of Asian ceratopsids. It is known for partial skulls with unusual collar ornamentation from the Upper Cretaceous of China.
Maiasaura peeblesorum is a hadrosaurid known from more than 200 specimens, including nests with eggs and cubs, from Montana and Alberta. It overturned previous ideas about the parental behavior of dinosaurs.
Hypsilophodon foxii is a small ornithischian known from a variety of specimens from England. It was previously depicted as an arboreal animal, but is now known as a terrestrial, running herbivore.

[Image description: A stylized digital drawing of two styracosaurus watching a meteor shower at night. The styracosaurus on the left is dark brown with pale freckles & bright blue eyes, the styracosaurus on the right is greenish with dark freckles & pale green eyes. The grass is a dark & desaturated yellow-green color, & barren dark brown branches jut out from off screen. On one of the branches on the left, there's one pinkish brown thrush, whereas the branch on the right has two such thrushes. The sky is indigo & purple, the stars are a lighter purple & the shooting stars are pale blue & yellow. End of image description]
the styracosaurus on the left is my oc named peater that I designed myself, except for the stripes on his face & tail, which was a feature added to his design by cat-dragron on primeval age based off a design by tokkay on primeval age.
the styracosaurus on the right's name is gwenn & she belongs to & was designed by @sollyraptor
Species: Abada Clade: Ceratopsidae Diet: Herbivorous Size: 10 ft Habitat: Forest and Grassland Threat Level: 3/5 (If Provoked) Group Orientation: Herds or Solitary Fun Facts:
Also known as Nillekma or Arase, the Abada can usually be seen in herds consisting of ten to fifteen members, although males will - when they reach the proper age, either leave the herd and live a solitary life or challenge the alpha male for the right to take over the herd. They are mostly placid animals although they have a reputation of being bad-tempered if they or their young are threatened.
Its most dangerous weapon is by far its twin horns, but their frills are rather fragile; so despite being living tanks, they usually prefer to use intimidation as their first tactic. Most duels between rival males are dealt with in this way to avoid major injuries.
The Abada has been misclassified by many to be a living unicorn in Africa. Giovanni Cavazzi, an Italian missionary, travelled in Portuguese Angola in the 17th century and heard tales about a creature similar to a horse but closer in size to an ox and having a head similar to a deer. In many of these tales, the Abada is said to be a sign of good fortune as it would appear when a traveler was lost or when someone was gravely ill.

Lokiceratops rangiformis was a ceratopsian dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous (~78 million years ago) in what is now Montana, USA. Estimated at about 6.7m long (~22ft), it was one of the largest known members of the centrosaurine branch of the ceratopsians.
It had a unique arrangement of ornamentation on its skull, with no nose horn, two long brow horns, and a pair of huge asymmetrical curving blade-like spikes on the top of its square frill – some of the largest known frill spikes of any ceratopsian.
It lived in a swampy environment near the shore of the Western Interior Seaway, in an area that seems to have had an unusually high diversity of ceratopsians – along with Lokiceratops there were three other centrosaurines (Medusaceratops, Albertaceratops, and Wendiceratops), and one chasmosaurine (Judiceratops).
(There's also a possibility that it might not actually be a unique species. We know some other ceratopsians' faces changed quite drastically as they aged, so Lokiceratops could instead represent a fully mature individual of Medusaceratops.)
