It would be so cool to see the Cell Jrs grow up, but they get to do so only if they manage to absorb each other, much like their father did with his "siblings", but here there is no satisfaction or glory: it's just a slaughter between brothers, where 6 will be sacrificed for the sake of one's ultimate perfection. Now imagine how powerful this "new" Perfect Cell would be, having absorbed 6 of his clones. But he's not bent on destroying the world, at all: he chooses to stand for everything that his father sought to destroy, as he has developed a visceral hate towards the og Perfect Cell, since it's his fault that he (Junior) had to absorb his brothers in order to become complete; and the things he fights for happen to also be the things that the Z fighters and their successors stand for now. Also he'll probably never get over the slaughter of his brothers, it actually leaves him psychologically scarred and unable to form meaningful relationships for a while, but being surrounded by good people does its work and slowly and very gradually, with ups and downs, his life regains a semblance of normalcy, Junior matures and betters himself. He refuses to abide by his father's cult of perfection and instead follows Goku's mindset of constant betterment and overcoming his own limitations.
