ㅤ   His  face  shifts  to  one  of  mild  disgust,  thinking  of  that  other  hedgehog  makes  him  roll  his  eyes.  He  hadn't  seen  his  prime  counterpart  yet  &  hopefully  he  won't  have  to  for  the  time  being  until  he  finds  another  warp  ring  to  leave.

         ". . .don' worry none, Girly. I'm stayin' put." Nicole settles back within the grass once more. Just looking up at the sky, not even sure what she's seeing. Just looking at the stars, looking at those they'll never reach due to distance. And while her new companion was a little strange. . .Nicole recognized distress when she heard it.

          Her hands resting on her stomach gently, hair sprawled out behind her, the teen gives a gentle hum as she continued to look skyward.

     Stars glint across spectacles. Truth be told, he loved the stars. Even in his youth, the cosmos always felt like something greater. To look up into the night sky was to gaze up at a portion of the unfathomable. That telescope in your backyard gave you a view into one one-billionth of a particle in infinite expansion. Wonderment, excitement! The thrill of the unknown! Endless possibilities!

     The grassy hills in plains long and rolling. Body replete with night air amongst lungs. He can almost feel the stars within him when the world above glimmers so abundantly.

     ...A scoff, glasses adjusted with the extension of the middle.

     Their grandeur was not so idealistic in his adulthood. He found it quite malleable, quite physical, and quantifiable. They bleed. And they can be destroyed.

     Glass-covered sights turn to Celeste. "You're quite the difficult one to get ahold of, you know. So beyond us humans that you make us go to your home and knock so hard that the wreath falls off the door. I think that's your fault, not mine."

     From the back, a small vial is produced. The light inside dances like refracted moonlight and concentrated whimsy, the mystery of night illuminated by stars bright. It has been bottled and kept like some common commodity. "The constellation of Vela had to come all this way just to vouch for me!" The vial is shaken. "I'm sure it's feeling very homesick. Perhaps that is enough of a reason to find a spot of conversation with the dear old doctor? I have sugar cookies and tea if you're in the mood for food~."

her heart skips a beat. her heart ? no, it can't. but something skips a beat. or something beats, for the very first time.

He  was  running  out  of  time  ,   drifting  just  a  little  below  the  edges  of  the  atmosphere  ,    gleaming  fiercely  amongst  the  faint  shine  of  stars  in  the  night  sky  .   Moments  of  mindless  wonder  &   agonizing  wait  are  cut  short  as  her  presence  joins  his  ,   drawing  him  instantly  with  a  sense  of  familiarity  both  ancient  &   new  .    Abysmal  red  rubies  stare  for  so  long  ,   hand  motionless  as  it  firmly  holds  onto  hers  ,  as  if  the  whims  of  the  universe  would  tug  her  away  before  he  could  solve  the  mystery  of  the  profound  wholeness  in  his  chest  .     He  knows  her  ,   he's  already  declared  he  loves  her  ,   but  as  the  flames  of  Chaos  engulfs  his  being  entirely  ,   warping  his  reception  into  celestial  lights  &   cores  of  unrelenting  forces  ,   it  feels  like  seeing  her  for  the  first  time  in  his  life  . 

It  feels  like  falling  all  over  again  . 

And  that's  when  he  bares  teeth  in  a  bright  smile  ;   intensely  warm  ,   magnificent  ,   flawless  as  he  pulls  her  closer  ,   intertwining  their  fingers  &   securing  her  waist  in  the  other  hand  .   Super  Sonic  is  eerily  quiet  ,   his  heart  does  not  beat  to  the  rhythm  of  emotion  ,   it  remains  still  in  his  chest  alongside  sleeping  lungs  .   His  breath  &   voice  taken  away  ,   his  vitality  silenced  in  exchange  for  unlimited  potential  &   another  victory  in  the  name  of  his  love  .   But  this  love  remains  ,   in  fact  it  blooms  further  ,   boundless  &   rampant  &   quite  short-lived  .   

And  he  doesn't  waste  another  part  of  a  second  ,   bringing  golden  bodies  together  to  press  kisses  against  her  lips  ,   trying  to  sate  an  unbearable  longing  within  him  in  the  only  way  he  can  think  of  .   His  affection  so  fervent  ,   his  claws  no  longer  subtle  as  they  dig  into  her  sides  ,  demanding  a  closeness  near  impossible  to  achieve  .   And  unlike  the  gentle  blue  vessel  that  resides  beneath  glowing  fur  ,   he  cares  little  about  reciprocation  ,   only  his  sharp-toothed  greed  &   his  passionate  damage  .
