Would love to hear your thoughts on Celeste x Sonia, especially Remnant Sonia

At one point I started writing about this exact thing! Never finished the one shot, though. Got busy with other ideas.

I actually have a very vivid image of how Celestia/Sonia plays out. At first, Celestia is only in the relationship for Sonia's status, power, and money. Very much trying to be a sugar baby vibe. She fully intends to use her and feel nothing about it.

But then. Then. Sonia is genuinely really kind to her. And interested in what she has to say. And sweet, and gentle, and, and... Oh No. Oh No No No no no n o. She Actually Likes Her. It's the worst case scenario.

But Sonia just. Continues to be kind. And Celestia eventually just... lowers her walls. Let's her in. Tells her secrets, fears, her name. And it's good. It feels good.

And then Junko Enoshima happens.

And instead of Celestia breaking Sonia's heart, instead of Celestia using and then desposing of her... Sonia is the one to do it to her.

It ends unhappy. It ends with Sonia throwing all her care and love back into her face. It ends with her laughing at her. Did you really think a princess would love someone like you? Did you really think I'd choose a commoner as a wife? You were nothing to me. I was using you from the start. I just wanted a quick laugh.

She throws her secrets in her face, targets her fears and insecurities, spits on their entire relationship... And it's not true. She's lying. It feels like tearing her heart out. None of it, none of it is true. But Celestia believes her. And that's what makes it so despair-inducing.

And then Celestia forgets her. And then Celestia dies. And that- that is even more despair-inducing. Because she let that happen to her. Maybe she even participated in Junko erasing her memories, to dig the knife deeper.

(Once Sonia comes out of the simulation, she is horrified.)

I see them as a couple that ends tragically. Which. Is definitely fun to explore. It's not a top ship of mine, I don't know if I'd even consider myself a shipper of it? But I am definitely a fan of at least the idea of it. The ship has a lot of potential! Definitely a fun one for sure.
