truthfully, colton wasn’t sure why this made him so anxious, perhaps because it’d been so long since he’d done such a thing. or maybe he just wanted it to be perfect, as silly and old fashioned as that was. he knew he had nothing to fear from cecilia, even on the odd chance she did turn him down, he wouldn’t lose her, things would probably just be awkward for a while. whatever happened, they could handle. taking one last deep breath to ready himself, he nodded, she was right, as she often was. he just needed to do it before he lost his nerve again. keeping that in mind, he freed one of his arms that had been previously wrapped around her, to fish out the ring in his pocket. ❝ cecilia bengtson, will you marry me ?? ❞ he asked softly, his dark eyes filled with nothing but adoration for the human. ❝ i’d get down on one knee and do this the more traditional way for you but we’re uh, a bit tangled. ❞ and he really didn’t want to force her off his lap, he was quite comfortable tangled up on the couch with her.

                              “Guess who I ran into the other day in the city?” Adam said, looking up from his slice of pizza, elbow resting against the bar top and Cecilia Torres holed up behind it. “Name start’s with D, and he looks an awful lot like you, only a bit more rugged, you know? Not as delicate features,” he added, chuckling under his breath. “He asked me about you too, wanting to make sure you were staying out of trouble.”
