More than anything JC needed someone to tell him that. That he is still the same man who went undercover. He is still good. He isnt like the people hes had to stay beside for 6 years. Hes been so lost the last couple episodes trying to find where his place is now. When she said his name with the old familiarity you can see it hit him. He NEEDS to hear something good from someone he trusts but hes also terrified. Then zhou jin returning the lighter 🥺 I just loved this scene. This whole show dude.. I love the main couple but I also just love this character.

When he says hes tired. His main contact and mentor is dead. His cover is blown. His teammates dont trust him. The woman he loves married another.. 6 years and he has nothing to come back to.
