💔ANGST 💔

Tons of letters, you sent tons of letters to Genesis while he was away on a mission and yet he never replied to any of them. He must be occupied with things that are going on in Wutai. You never counted how many letters you sent to your lover. 

Instead of tiring yourself to write a letter again since you wrote a lot of them, you called Genesis on your cell phone but he didn’t answer. Called him multiple times, still no answer. You sent him messages, texts, asking him if everything is alright and all. No luck. 

As the days, weeks and months traveled through quickly, everything started to weigh down heavily as you endlessly began to get more worried about Genesis. Falling into a pit of depression and anxiety, it hurts your poor heart and couldn’t help but think if Genesis left you in the dirt and never wanted to see you again. You shook your head, forcing yourself not to think of any of those terrible thoughts. 

Every night, you slept in tears and cried thinking of him. Wondering when he will return. Maybe never?

In the morning, you lay down on the couch and set your melancholy eyes to the rain outside of the window, hearing every drop of tears on the glass. Making it sound like it was making a sad song for you to listen while you think about Genesis, missing him terribly. Missing his smile, his warmth, everything… 

You sat yourself up when you heard a knock on the door. You hoped that it would be Genesis. Rushing to open the door with relief, you were about to be happy to see the man you truly love return. 

Sadly, it turned out that it wasn’t him that arrived on your doorstep. One of the Shinra soldiers came to your house, he informed you that Genesis went M.I.A in Wutai during a mission. 

Your heart dropped and shattered, you weren’t expecting this shocking news coming from a Shinra soldier. You asked him if anyone from the Shinra headquarters is looking for him. 

Unfortunately, Genesis was nowhere to be found but he did tell you that they will continue their search for him. Apparently, they have been doing an investigation for his disappearance for god knows how long. Angeal and Sephiroth have been sent out to places by the director to find Genesis. 

The Shinra soldier bid you farewell and headed back. You locked your door in frustration  after you closed it and slammed the back of your head gently to the door, dropping down on the floor. 

You used your hands to cover your face and broke down crying. You legged up to your bedroom as you slammed the door behind you. You scooped down on the bed, had your face planted on the pillow, crying more and more…

You wondered…if something very terrible had happened to Genesis. Beginning to pain you thinking about that has truly sent you on a very emotional rollercoaster of heartbreak. 

Hopefully he will be found. Perhaps not…

…Will he ever truly return home?

…guess not
