post war no order 66 au where the chips are discovered but they're still working on developing the brain surgery to remove them.
the clones decide to compare how many orders their commander's chips have received. rex and cody are tied for first with 10 each, and considering that most of the clones have 2 max it's a very high number. since the commands tend to be "fall in line"/"follow orders" it's seen that cody and rex are incredibly rebellious/independent clones (but they knew that already).
they're about to call the competition to a close when some guard shines pull a very confused fox into the room.
he's pushed to the front and has the scanner held to his head. there's arguing around the room. rule following fox? the guy who made their lives miserable while getting shore leave on courasant? he probably doesn't even have one!
and then the orders start rolling in. 10. 20. 50. 100. more and more and more appearing and the room is fucking silent. when did he even get the chance to get these orders given to him!?
the room is so quiet they can hear stone oh so quietly say "the chancellor..." and the creak of plastoid as fox's head snaps up. the most recent command still listed on screen.

Actually I still think it’s funny if Fox was getting fucked over by palpatine because of his own actions. Palpatine is still desperately trying to avoid being discovered as a sith but Fox keeps finding his secret hideouts and popping up in his bedroom in the middle of the night and ambushing him when he’s sneaking around so, yeah, palpatine may have done a little sith torture, a little mind control, but honestly who wouldn’t on his situation?
Commander Fox is a very accomplished soldier, but his men are starting to think he’s not all there. After all, what kind of moron repeatedly tries to assault an old man that can shoot lighting out of his hands? Because everyone knows people from Naboo have special powers, otherwise Jar Jar Binks wouldn’t be Like That, and Amidala is always getting out of dangerous situations without a scratch.
‘Really, Fox you should leave the Chancellor alone’ they tell him. And Fox grumbles because he still doesn’t have any concrete proof that he’s doing anything wrong other than fraud, tax evasion, and money laundering, but those are clearly legal for government employees cause everyone’s doing that.
