more cave pics! this time its in the ogof fynnon ddu system in south wales, the one where we had that big rescue last november. we were doing the cwm dŵr to ofd 1 through trip in which we very definitely did not at any point get lost in a boulder choke.

Shwmae! This is a very strange ask, but I'm looking for the possible whereabouts of a Welsh cave and you were the only person I'm vaguely aware of who might have any information about it (or know someone who does).Â
I am looking for a cave in southeastern Brycheiniog. It would be located near the eastern outskirts of a very hilly area that sustains many lightning strikes. There would be a forest and a narrow, fast-flowing river close to the cave entrance, as well as a small town across the river.Â
The cave itself would be yellowish-orange on the inside, very muddy at times, and would experience partial flooding during rainfall. Some chambers would have hundreds of needle-like stalactites on the ceiling. There would be several large chambers with pale, bulbous rocks along the floor. I am unsure how many entrances the cave may have, but one of them would be large enough for at least two adults and their gear to fit through at the same time. To the best of my knowledge, this entrance would be close to the base of a hill near the creek, just outside the forest. A small amount of water may flow out of it.Â
I am wondering if anyone has found this cave or knows its name. The area is (or was) prone to rockfalls so I am not certain if the cave even exists anymore; it's also possible that my estimate of its location is inaccurate to some degree. I am not a caver but this has been eating me up since I was two years old, and I couldn't think of anyone else to ask— feel free to ignore this if you have no idea, or if it's too out-of-the-blue!Â

unfortunately the description of the cave fits a lot of caves in the area (we call the needle stalactites straws!) and i don't recognise the description of the entrance, but i can direct you to a site that has a lot of images/info of the caves in south wales!
